Maybe he's nervous, did you ever think about that? is a huge step, i remember when me and my BF did it for the first time, he stopped us the first few times we almost did because he was nervous because its a really big deal and he wanted it to be perfect. Besides if your close enough to be having , you should be close enought to talk about why he stopped it!
