Just for fun: Do people refuse to take Pascal's Wager because Pascal is a known deadbeat?

Not just a deadbeat. He was dead before it was published. Some buffoons went though his notebooks, saw that claptrap phased as a mathematical proof, and oohed and aahed, despite it being total garbage, not worth anything more than a drink and a laugh.
