Can Obama's share the wealth plan be made retro-active?
Back in the late 80's my husband lost his job. We had 3 daughters and a son on the way. The economy was down and it was hard to find a job. Did I run to the local welfare office? NOOOOO! I worked three different jobs, waiting tables 6 hours for the early breakfast shift, working for the county holding a stop sign for 8 hours, then managing a gas station for 8 hours. After doing this for about 6 months, my husband was offered a mining job in Alaska, so we moved our family and he worked as many hours as he could so we could catch up on our bills and make a good life for our children, I also got a job as an office manager and worked up to 10 hours a day sometimes. We bought a house, a new car and our kids had a good life. He is now working in Nevada as an underground miner and we are buying a house in Colorado. He works as many hours as he can and makes a lot of money, but Obama wants to take away more of what he makes and give it to the less fortunate. We have worked our entire lives to be in the position that we are in now, without help from anyone. If Obama gets elected, we have to help everyone that is worse off than we are. We already pay 28% in taxes, that is 28.00 out of every hundred dollars, people with less income pay 15% in taxes, that is 15.00 out of 100 dollars. We pay almost double, why should we be taxed more? I think that if this happens, then we should be able to collect back payments from the government for the times that we needed the money, but didn't use it.
