Emla numbing Cream for Tattoos..?

Well, your skin will be wiped clean and shaved right before your tattoo, so whatever amount of numbing cream you put on is just going to get wiped off. Also, it only works on the top layer of skin (tattoos go deeper than just the top layer). Finally, would you want to risk your tattoo artist getting some of that cream on his tattooing hand?? Bottom line, don't do it - it's not worth it in so many ways. Besides, tattoos really are not that painful.
