What does "The Resolution" video by Jack's Mannequin mean?

The definition of the word "resolution" basically means that two loose ends are tied up. For example, the cops arrest the bad guy, the hero returns home, safely, etc. In Jack's Mannequin's video, "The Resolution," I believe that he's most likely saying that his 'loose ends' in life, cancer, was overcome when he survived cancer. So, his loose ends soon 'tied up'.
